This is one of Tucson's newer sub-divisions, started in the 1980's. There are some smaller townhomes in the neighborhood priced in the $300,000+ range and up. Single family Tucson homes run up to several million. But there is a lot of range and variety. Most homes are newish, current.

Ventana Canyon is has quiet, curving, tree-lined streets and wonderful views . One of Tucson's 5-star travel destinations, Ventana Canyon Resort, is at the top of the ridge right against the Santa Catalina mountains. The hotel is operated by the very swank Loew's chain. There are 27 holes of golf at Ventana, so members can play a private 18, while the public plays a semi-private, semi-public 18. I'm glad I'm not the head pro there; it does work out somehow, and the course is very highly rated. Hole #3 - the "Hole-In-The-Wall" par 3 is world-renowned.

Like much of the Tucson foothills, schools here are in well-respected Catalina foothills School District 16.
